The floor is enormous — a multi-level room with thousands of slots, a deep spread of table games, a poker room and high-limit salons. For scale and energy no other casino-hotel matches it.
But the waterfront is the trick the others cannot copy: the glass over the Falls turns an already big room into the most spectacularly sited casino in the country.
The tower holds around 370 rooms and suites, and here the waterfront changes everything — a Falls-view room puts the Horseshoe directly outside the glass, lit up after dark.
The rooms are comfortable and generously sized, and because they sit above the casino the walk from the tables to bed is as short as it gets. Book high and book the view.
There are more than a dozen restaurants and bars, several angled at the water, plus a spa, an indoor pool and a 1,500-seat theatre. You can fill a weekend overlooking the Falls without stepping outside.
The best tables face the glass, and timing a meal for dusk — when the Falls light up — turns dinner into part of the show. It is a resort built to make the water the entertainment.
Fallsview sits in the heart of Niagara Falls, about ninety minutes from Toronto and a short hop from the border. A Falls-view room costs more, but on a waterfront guide it is the whole point — and worth it.
The surrounding district is packed with attractions and cheaper beds, so it is easy to base a longer trip here and treat Fallsview as the marquee night of it.
